Shift at Midnight

Shift at Midnight is a tense, slow-burn horror experience that transforms an ordinary night job into a suffocating descent into paranoia. Set during a lone graveyard shift, the game places you in a quiet workplace where routine tasks gradually give way to unsettling anomalies.

You arrive expecting monotony — paperwork, security checks, maybe a flickering light or two. But as the clock crawls toward morning, subtle disturbances begin to creep in. Objects aren’t where you left them. Security cameras capture movement in empty rooms. Phone calls arrive from voices that shouldn’t exist. The building feels aware of your presence — and increasingly hostile to it.

Gameplay centers around careful observation and environmental interaction. You must monitor surveillance feeds, manage limited resources, and physically inspect darkened hallways when systems fail. There are no traditional weapons or power fantasies; your only defenses are vigilance, quick thinking, and the courage to leave the safety of your desk.

The horror builds through atmosphere rather than spectacle. Long stretches of silence are punctuated by sudden, ambiguous events that blur the line between malfunction and menace. Each shift may unfold differently, encouraging players to question what is scripted and what is reacting to them.

Minimalist visuals, oppressive sound design, and an ever-present sense of isolation combine to create an experience where time itself feels distorted. In Shift at Midnight, survival isn’t about defeating monsters — it’s about enduring the unknown long enough to see the sun rise.
